The SABATISSO Association is a Malian organisation founded on 23 December 1996 by the late Mrs Boundy Djeneba Sissoko. It was born of a desire to help young people in difficulty by giving them access to training and to prospects of employment.
Today, Mrs Mariam Boundy, the association’s president, carries on her mother’s commitment and develops SABATISSO’s work. Based in Faladiè-Est, Bamako, the training centre hosts learning, practice and support activities. Its courses cover construction trades, electrical and solar installation, crafts and food processing.
Our teaching follows a skills-based approach, with 80% practice and 20% theory. The aim is for learners to master professional skills and prepare for an internship, a job or self-employment, with the support of our partners.

The late Mrs Boundy Djeneba Sissoko founds the SABATISSO Association to help vulnerable people: drug users, orphans, people in poverty and people displaced by war.

The Nouvelle Chance programme, Hope & Renewal, extends SABATISSO’s work with young people in vulnerable situations.
Today
Chaired by her daughter, Mrs Mariam Boundy, the association relies on the SABATISSO Vocational Training and Integration Centre to help beneficiaries learn a trade and prepare to enter the workforce.
To create a world where marginalised young people become an active force for sustainable development.
